Does anyone else get wary when things say, "FINISHED product not tested on animals"? I never buy anything from companies that advertise like this -- to me, it's saying, "Yeah, we messed around with this for YEARS and now that we have this FINISHED product, we didn't think we needed to test it on animals since we knew there was nothing bad in it ( Read more... )

received an email from the american anti-vivisection society promoting animalearn.org as a site showcasing non-dissection options in the classroom and all the information students need for presenting alternatives to dissection to their teachers. it also covers vivisection issues, as well.

figured others would want to know about it

Products that were tested on animals are unethical, right? It seems clear to me only in the obvious cases. But I get confused the more obscure the example is. There are companies that don't test on animals, for either individual ingredients or the finished product.
